[4K] CORSICA – with a pinch of Sardinia

Belle Corse! This post contains my short travel video about our adventures on Corsica and Sardinia in the summer of 2018. And below you will also find some suggestions for places to visit in case you have planned to visit Corsica.

Corsica is is an island in the Mediterranean Sea. It is located southeast of the French mainland and west of the Italian Peninsula, with the nearest land mass being the Italian island of Sardinia to the immediate south. A single chain of mountains makes up two-thirds of the island. Nature on the Island is magnificent! The Regional Natural Park of Corsica (French: Parc Naturel Régional de Corse, Corsican: Parcù di Corsica) is a natural park. The Natural Park covers nearly 40% of the island of Corsica.

Things to do in Corsica

I really enjoyed my 2 weeks on both islands Corsica and Sardinia. I can highly recommend to give it a visit! Here are some ‘things to do’ on Corsica.

d81

Very impressive gold red granite rock formations on the west coast of Corsica. One of the most beautiful parts of the Calanches is on the D81 between the villages.

Calvi

Calvi is a tourist town in north-western Corsica, known for its medieval citadel, marina and a kilometer-long sandy beach

Bonifacio

The town of Bonifacio, Bunifaziu in Corsican, is situated on top of a massive rock, eighty meters above the sea. The town has a rich history.
